Maps aren’t easy to read…

My steps slowed as my tummy grumbled more and more. I saw my life FLASH before my eyes: memories of me and Wesley playing, of hanging out with Creepy, Slimey and Skelee, and going on adventures with my best mate, Steve.

I had a good thirteen years of UNDEAD life, didn’t I?

‘Hey, kid. You okay?’ asked a deep voice.

I slowly opened my eye sockets to see an older Creeper in a Nuclear Waste Plant uniform. He was leaning over, nudging me gently with his foot.

‘Have I RESPAWNED? Is this the next life? Are you an angel, sir?’ I asked.

‘Uh, no. You’re still in the Overworld. Why are you lying on the ground?’

‘Oh. I thought I re-died of hunger,’ I muttered, and my tummy grumbled in response.

‘Woah, that’s quite the loudest roar I’ve heard. And I’ve been to The Nether,’ replied the old Creeper. ‘Let’s get you something to eat.’

I know Mom taught me never to get into a stranger’s car, but I was sooo tired! And this mob worked for the Nuclear Waste Plant, so he was basically a friend. I mean, we worked for the same company.

He drove me to a DROOL AND GRUEL diner and he ordered me some food. When the food came, I did nothing but gobble it.

I don’t even know what I ate. Maybe all the knocking around in the plane had ruined the last of my taste buds.

‘You don’t happen to be a delivery mob for the Nuclear Waste Plant, do you?’ asked the Creeper.

I nearly choked. ‘Cough. Cough.’

‘I’ll take that as a yes.’

‘Er... Cough. Cough.’

‘Well, good thing I bumped into you. I helped develop the delivery program,’ smirked the Creeper. ‘Name’s Kabooms Fitzgerald, but you can just call me DR FITZ.’
